Following the release of their latest addition to the Ghostbusters franchise, Sony approached us with a vision to bring people into the famous story. As fans of Ghostbusters, we were excited to team up with Sony.

Challenge

How do we create an immersive mobile VR experience that die-hard fans of Ghostbusters would appreciate? Our challenge was to ensure the story was both fun and completely engaging.

Solution

We were eager to utilize some of the franchise’s iconic elements. Taking place at the fire station headquarters, this experience challenges you to help the team capture Slimer.

We optimized high resolution art assets from Sony to enable best performance across all mobile platforms.

We worked with writers and game designers to ensure a consistent story that holds up in a five minute experience.

Testing

Mobile development requires rapid iteration. Testing prototype features quickly was critical to the success of the site on a short timeline.

Results

Timed with the release of the film, this immersive experience was leveraged to push the Ghostbusters brand even further forward. Users nationwide have been capturing Slimer to help save the day!
